Margie was one of my best friends at Denby.  She often described herself as "my favorite greaser".  We had so many great times at school, church, and in our homes.  We spent time together for many years after high school.  She became a great artist as the years progressed...fortunately, she was able to attend our 40th reunion with her son, Eric, as her date. I was devastated when I heard from Marguerite that she had passed last night.  She is now out of pain and with the Angels, of which she is one!  She will be in my heart always!

I'm so sorry to hear that Margie passed away. I didn't know her well, but thought she always seemed cheerful and full of fun. From your tribute, Kathleen, it sounds like she had a good life. May she rest in peace.

Margie was a dear friend of mine also.   I am so sorry that Eric and Marguerite lost their mom.  Peace be with you.

I was so sad to hear Margie had left us. I met Margie at Robinson elementary and again at Denby.  We sang in the choir at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Detroit. We found each other again about 12 yrs ago. She was in TX and I am still in MI. We spoke on the  phone; emailed and sent pictures back and forth. She painted a big picture for me in purple and her spirtuality and love shines through it.  I know she was so happy with 'Poppi" and her children and grandkids. She was always laughing, loved music, and her painting was a joy to her.  She was one of the kindest people I ever knew.

I know  "My Little Margie", is rocking Heaven now.

Very funny, outgoing lady!  I remember her from Junior High and Girl Scouts; her Mom was a leader of our troop.  Later, we shared a lot of the vocal programs at Denby.  A very unique person!
