What have you been up to since you graduated? Please share.

Worked 22 1/2 at Chrysler/General Dynamics.
Took up archery when I was 30 and thoroughly love it - in 1992 I was second top female archer in my division in Michigan Archer Association, now I just shoot around the house with my children, grandchildren & great niece & nephews.
I joined National Society Daughters of the American Revolution in 1981 downstate, organized a chapter in Gaylord and eventually became State Regent from 2006-2009. I'm still very involved in DAR and love it! In June every year I go on a bus trip to our National headquarters in DC for a week. What fun!
My husband and I met on an Archery Range and were married on an archery that he built at a sportsman's club in Lewiston, MI. We will be married 20 years in April this year. Third marriage for both of us.
I've been a counselor for women in crisis pregnancies, youth counselor for church youth groups, Sunday School & VBS teacher. Since my husband has frontal temporal dementia, I am now a facilitator for a support group.
I enjoy reading, being with people and my family, boating on my lake, camping, traveling, swimming, outdoor life and living on a lake that is NOT on the map and exploring the woods and watching wildllife.

Now that the colors are changing to a beautiful picture up here, it's time to reflect on these past few months, before Fall and Winter arrive.
I volunteered to chair/facilitate the 75th Anniversary of our church celebration. It finally arrived on June 13th. About a 100 people attended and I was the MC - which is a GREAT feat for me. Finally after all these years of being petrified to speak in public during McGregor and Burbank and of course high school years and running PTA meetings in an informal round table style so I wouldn't have to be in front of an audience I can finally do it. We had a local singers, wonderful lunch and a GREAT time. Then off to DC with 30 other women on a bus for a week long Daughters of the American Revolution National Conference. I love visiting, but would never want to live their - too busy for this northern girl. I like my woods and lake and tranquility. We are the only women's group who own and operate 1 block of buildings in DC, 3 blocks from the White House. We had a GREAT time.
July was filled with surprises. The first being that Penny Sheridan Sherman came up for a visit. She met me at a DAR meeting in Gaylord to meet some of my DAR family for lunch. Then off to my home for a visit with good conversation, pictures, talking about the past, etc. We finished with going to my sister's - Annette - to show off pictures and for Penny to meet Annette's family. When my great niece saw my graduation picture, Olivia's words were, "Big Hair!" with her eyes wide open. We had a good time and we really enjoyed Penny's visit.
My son and his family came down from Pickford -UP- for 2 weeks and we did some major downsizing - even found my McGregor and Burbank autograph books and Denby's year books. I also have my dad's 1942 Denby year book with graduates' dad, Wally Cox (Mr. Peepers) and Coach Rutherford as students.
I'm looking forward to our DAR State Conference at the Amway in Grand Rapids in a few weeks.
And then finally getting reacquainted with so many friends which I haven't seen in so many years. I truly am looking forward to seeing the Burbankers.

Do you have a favorite school story, or funny memory? Please share.

All the Denby dances and football games and parties. I got kicked out of study hall because the computer had my name as Sam Stringflleow and the teacher at that wouldn't believe I wasn't Sharon Stringfellow let a lone that I wasn't a male and was a female - he was the band teacher. Mr. Robinson, counselor, had to straighten out.
